Cold Pressed Neem Oil Buying Guide for Cosmetic & Soap Manufacturers

How cosmetic and soap manufacturers should buy cold pressed neem oil in bulk — units, odour and colour, packing, storage and what to ask before ordering.

Know the unit you are being quoted in

Oils are traded by kg or by litre, and the two are not interchangeable because density differs. Our neem oil is quoted per kg; always check the unit on each quote before comparing suppliers.

Odour, colour and setting

Neem oil has a strong natural odour and can thicken or partly solidify in cool weather. Soap makers usually accept this, while cosmetic formulators may want to confirm colour and odour with a sample first. Gentle warming before use returns the oil to liquid.

Packing and storage

Bulk neem oil travels in cans or drums. Store it sealed, away from heat and light, and rotate stock first-in first-out. Ask for packing that matches how your plant dispenses oil.

Combining with other oils

Soap and hair-oil manufacturers often buy neem with castor or sesame oil. Ordering them together usually reduces freight per kg and keeps lot dates aligned.
